Played by an adult in her early twenties
She is wearing a bright red cotton summer dress and red shoes

MOTHER/TROLL WOMAN
Played by a woman in her early fifties or older
Her clothes are a neutral grey colour. She changes these once to become troll woman where she wears all black, with a black veil pulld over her head

FATHER/MR MARKS
Played by a man in his early fifties or older
His clothes are a neutral grey colour. He converts to Mr Marks by putting on a jacket and glasses.

Note: Actor playing Karen switches between playing her as a six year old and as an adult

The set is a simple arrangement of rostra at different levels, painted a neutral silver/grey. At the start there are some childs clothes scattered around, a few story books and a rag doll
