Joe Graham created Balancing Act as a vehicle to produce his own plays. With huge input from talented friends and supporters, Balancing Act have now presented around 10 one act plays in various festivals with great success. The latest being voted both punter’s prize and best overall play at the 2008 Wallingford Drama Festival.

Balancing Act also presented the winning play from those 2008 festivals ‘Dancing to the Sound of Crunching Snails’ as part of OXFRINGE 2009 from April 1st-4th, in an evening of three one act plays at the OFS Studio, George Street, Oxford. Following the success at the OFS, the play particiapted at the 24:7 festival in Manchester in July 2009 where it was directed by Joyce Branagh.

Joe has also had many professional productions at venues such as The Everyman in Cheltenham, Bristol Old Vic and Watford Palace Theatre. Joyce Branagh commissioned Joe to write two pantomimes for Watford Palace Theatre and he continues to write and produce his own unique musical pantomimes with music written by brother Jim Graham.

In May Balancing Act will return to the OFS to present ‘FUN RUN’. Joe Graham’s new hilarious comedy looking at the funny side of charity fun running. 18th - 22nd May.

Next up is the new panto musical WHO’S AFRAID OF THE BIG BAD WOLF, that Joe is currently writing for presentation next January.
